III. Installation Location and Core Functions
1. Installation Point: The branch node of the vehicle's air brake circuit and transmission brake interlock air circuit, connected in series between the air reservoir and the transmission interlock valve.

2. Two Core Functions:

Air Circuit On/Off Control: Relying on brake air pressure as the control air source, it achieves automatic on/off of the air circuit;

Transmission Brake Interlock Protection: When the driving brake is applied, the valve closes/opens the air circuit, triggering the ZF4WG200 transmission brake lock-up logic to prevent forced gear shifting while the brake is applied; after releasing the brake, the valve resets, releasing the transmission lock-up, and the vehicle can move forward and backward normally.

3. Failures (Easily Misdiagnosed as TCU Transmission Controller Damage)
* Internal valve seal failure, valve body leakage: Air pressure in the reservoir continuously drops, the brake interlock remains locked in the transmission, and the vehicle cannot move forward or backward.
* Stuck valve core, blocked air passage: After releasing the brake, the valve cannot reset, the interlock air passage maintains pressure, and the transmission remains locked in gear.
* Broken internal spring: The valve is normally open/normally closed; there is no brake lock-up when the brake is applied, or the transmission remains locked in gear throughout the entire braking process. Customers can easily diagnose this as a TCU electronic control failure.
